A repository can gain thousands of stars in a week, appear in dozens of videos, and still be too early, too risky, or too complicated for the average team. That is why Lux App Review does not rank projects by stars alone.
For this week of July 20-24, 2026 edition, we looked for projects with a combination of practical usefulness, current momentum, active development, understandable documentation, permissive licensing, and a believable path from repository to real-world value. The five selections cover business agents, creator tools, AI infrastructure, personalized education, and document automation.

How the Lux Score works
The Lux Score is a 100-point editorial score. Usefulness contributes 20 points. Project health, community momentum, ease of use, and trust and safety contribute 15 points each. Product quality and innovation contribute 10 points each. A high score does not mean a tool is safe for every environment, and it is not a substitute for testing, license review, privacy review, or security review.
